Through our Research Policy, we aim to empower faculty, scholars, and students to develop robust research competencies while maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and scientific integrity.

Research Policy

Our Research Policy underscores the institution’s values and commitment to nurturing scientific exploration in occupational therapy. By promoting an environment conducive to scholarly inquiry and evidence-based practice, we seek to:

  • Promote a research-oriented culture focused on advancing occupational therapy theory and clinical practice.
  • Encourage faculty and student-led research in core OT areas: physical rehabilitation, neurology, mental health, pediatrics, geriatrics, and community-based rehabilitation.
  • Support the development of evidence-based interventions that enhance functional independence and quality of life.
  • Facilitate ethical, client-centered research aligned with current healthcare priorities and population needs.
  • Provide access to clinical data, expert mentorship, and institutional infrastructure for conducting impactful research.
  • Promote interdisciplinary collaboration with allied health and medical professionals to foster comprehensive research.
  • Encourage research proposal writing and facilitate access to internal and external research grants and funding opportunities.
  • Support scientific publications in indexed national and international peer-reviewed journals.
  • Promote the presentation of research findings at academic conferences, seminars, and symposia.
  • Ensure effective translation of research outcomes into clinical practice, academic curriculum, and community service.
