Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT)

Occupational Therapy is a client-centered healthcare profession focused on promoting health and well-being through occupation. The primary goal of Occupational Therapy is to enable individuals of all ages to participate in the activities of everyday life, especially those affected by physical, mental, or developmental challenges.

  • Course Duration: 4 years + 6 months internship
  • Commencement: September – October
  • Total Intake: 100 Seats

  • HSC conducted by Tamil Nadu state or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Botany and Zoology.

  • Year 1: General Psychology and Sociology, Anatomy, Physiology, Basic Principles of Occupational Therapy
  • Year 2: Fundamentals of OT, General Medicine, Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Geriatrics, Pharmacology, Biomechanics, Applied Anatomy & Physiology, Clinical Orthopaedics, Neurology
  • Year 3: Community Medicine, Basic Nursing & First Aid, Health Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, OT in Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics and Neurology
  • Year 4: Organization and Administration in OT, OT in Rehabilitation, Group Process in OT, Rehabilitation Medicine, Clinical Cardiorespiratory & Work Physiology, Project Work, Research Methodology, Biostatistics
